The Pasadena Pops Orchestra presents its Summer Concert Series at Descanso Gardens, a beautiful setting with flowers, gardens, trees and fishponds in La Canada, California. The Pops orchestra is comprised of 68 of the best musicians’ in the Los Angeles area. 1,500 guests bring their picnic dinners and listen to music under the stars while enjoying the performance. The Pop’s concert series consists of 4 weekend concerts during the summer, plus their annual free concert at the Pasadena City Hall. The orchestra also performs for the America Fest 4th of July celebration at the Rose Bowl. The Pasadena Pops and its conductor, Rachel Worby, are very well known for their continuing contribution to the education mentoring of young musicians in Los Angeles County. In 2000 Laurence Estrin became the audio designer to the Pasadena Pops, ultimately becoming its Technical Producer for their annual summer concert series in 2004.
